Infinity 507CS Kappa Series 5-1/4-Inch 2-Way Loudspeaker Component
New for 2005 are the redesigned .7-Series components that feature Infinitys new deep-anodized-aluminum woofer cones, significantly reducing distortion at high frequencies and maximizing midrange clarity. The same material found in the 1 tweeters with rubber surrounds ensure flawless high-frequency reproduction and can be flush, surface, or angle mounted. Also new for 2005 is the Neodymium motor structure with integrated heatsink. This cutting-edge motor technology provides massive power handling while maintaining a minimal mounting depth. The integrated heatsink wicks heat away from the motor structure, increasing power while reducing distortion. The result is the cleanest, snappiest mid-bass with absolutely no coloration or distortion. A die-cast frame accommodated long suspension travel, and uses vented architecture for superior cooling, significantly increased output while keeping distortion to a minimum. Kappa components also feature fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley acoustic passive crossovers for uniform system response regardless of vehicle mounting locations.
